With the Taipei Assassins’ unconventional pick of Amumu as their jungler, the Manila Eagles knew from the start that they wanted to invade the blue buff. They were able to take the buff but ended up spending a lot of time at the bottom area giving Toyz a head start at the top lane.
The Manila Eagles drew first blood, scoring a kill on MiSTakE as both teams gathered for dragon. Along with the kill MLE took the first dragon. As the early game wore on, things were looking great for MLE, they were able to grab two dragons and were leading with a score of 6-0. There was, however, one big problem. At the top lane Toyz was farming unhindered and taking down tower after tower with Rebengga unable to stop him.
MLE made the decision to try to stop him but ended up wasting time and resources which allowed TPA to farm back up and maintain their gold levels despite being far behind on kills. As TPA began to group up for objectives the combo of Amumu and Orianna began to show its strength. TPA was able to catch members of MLE off guard through good warding and positioning slowly eroding the lead MLE had.
The key turning point came as TPA caught Rebengga and Misery at the top lane allowing them to take an inhibitor and the baron. From what seemed to be an even game, TPA pulled ahead with a nine thousand gold lead nearly instantly. After taking the baron TPA made a final split push for the middle and bottom towers and MLE could do little to stop them.
