The first match of the day kicked off to an exciting start as both teams clashed at KLH’s blue buff in the two minutes. KLH held the upper hand because of a ward but was unable to capitalize on it giving Violet the firstblood and QTV the blue buff. With the Saigon Joker’s largely early-game oriented team composition this proved to be a severe blow with repercussions felt through the entire game.

Over at the top lane, QTV was able to use the blue buff to keep MoNk3yz in a stranglehold. At the bottom lane Violet’s first blood allowed him to pick up a very early brutalizer and dominate the lane. Likewise, in the middle lane NIXWATER outfarmed and harassed GoldeN giving SAJ the advantage in every single lane as well as the jungle. During the early-game SAJ managed to build up a significant gold lead through outfarming alone.

The key moment of the game came when KLH decided to take dragon as a 5-man while QTV was busy pushing the top lane. While they were able to take the dragon and score three kills they ended up losing an inhibitor turret in exchange. This was a huge mistake that allowed SAJ to group up and push for the inhibitor very early on with a team composition that was built for the early game. Although KLH was ahead in kills SAJ was still far ahead in gold because of the towers and inhibitor they had destroyed.

With such a strong lead from the early game and an inhibitor down, SAJ was able to quickly end the game in their third victory against the KL hunters.

• SAJ grabs first blood and steals the blue buff at the start of the game giving them a significant edge early on
• KLH decides to take dragon while QTV is pushing, they up trading a base turret for 3 kills and the dragon
