The match between the Manila Eagles and KL Hunters had one of the most entertaining first 5 minutes of any game in the GPL. MLE decided to go for an early steal on the blue buff, the ensuing chaos resulted in a total of 7 kills by the 3 minute mark, with MLE scoring a slight lead of 4 kills.

As KLH’s blue buff respawned, MLE went in for another gank grabbing the kill on Epyonz’s Alistar. The kill left an opening for MLE to take the dragon and gain a nice gold lead early on.

Things went back to normal until MLE made another aggressive move towards KLH’s jungle this time at the lizard buff. Both teams clashed by KLH hesitated before deciding to engage or retreat. This gave VYY enough time to move in from bottom lane and give MLE the edge they needed to win the team fight. All this while, MLE completely dominated the global objectives, stealing every single one of KLH’s blue buffs and taking the dragon multiple times.

One of the pivotal moments of the game took place when MLE pulled off a sneaky 5-man gank on Malphite at the top lane giving them the opportunity to take baron. Epyonz attempted to stop the baron kill but a timely use of Paranoia by Misery, rendered his attempt futile. Baron buff in hand, MLE stormed KLH’s base scoring an easy ace and ending the game with style.
