With the GPL well in its fifth week the familiar teams were able to ban their opponent’s favourite champions, resulting in Kassadin and Anivia being quickly banned. In an unexpected move, MLE left Shen open for picks and KLH grabbed him immediately.
First blood came early when donmuri camped bottom lane from the beginning, pulling off a successful gank on Soraka as she face-checked brush. Soon after, KLH was able to grab 4 kills in two separate engages in the mid and bottom lanes.
At the 13 minute mark, MLE made a nice play, taking dragon while Corki and Taric ported back to shop. Throughout the mid-game both teams clashed several times with KLH always coming out slightly ahead. While KLH was ahead throughout the game, it wasn’t until a baron clash in the late-game that their lead was secured. Through superior positioning, KLH was able to take baron and three of MLE’s team members. With the momentum of the baron buff KLH went on to end the game at the 28 minute mark.
